Preludes & Fugues and Sonatas are the most famous of the Mendelssohn organ works. Just like Buxtehude stands as a precursor of J.S. Bach in the Organ repertoire history, Mendelssohn can be stated as one of his brilliant successors in the early ninteenth century. Mendelssohn is famous as a great composer and pianist, but he was also a virtuoso organist. In the OrganScore edition of the preludes & fugues and the sonatas, page turning problems are totally eliminated.
