Volume V of J.S. Bach complete organ works contains the concerto transcriptions for organ, completed by transcriptions originally intended for harpsichord which can also be performed on the organ with great musical result. For the latter, only those by great masters –and really suitable for the organ– have been selected (10 out of 16). Like in other volumes, spurious works have been retained. This is the case of BWV 597 which, although it is a pleasant piece, cannot be considered as being by Bach.
